Wander Tenerife

Sources & methodology

Wander Tenerife publishes the route guides and Journal on this site. We explain where condition data comes from, when it was checked, and where confirmation is missing.

Sources and responsibility

Wander Tenerife is responsible for how information is selected and presented here. A source link identifies the evidence for an individual fact; it does not imply that the source endorses our app.

Trail status and restrictions come from our public data service. Where a source is available, the condition card links to it directly. Follow that link to read the original information and check whether it applies to your route.

What the condition labels mean

Verified
The data service marks this fact as verified against its evidence. This is a source check, not a guarantee of safe passage or a claim that we inspected the trail in person.
Data may be outdated
The last known value is shown as historical information. It should not be treated as confirmation of current conditions.
No confirmed data yet
Confirmation is missing. We do not infer that a trail is open from the absence of a closure notice.
Conflicting data
The evidence disagrees. We withhold the condition value rather than choose an unsupported answer.

Updates and timestamps

Data is refreshed at least twice a day.

Source checked records when the individual fact was verified. Catalogue last synced records when the catalogue was synchronised. These timestamps have different meanings and are displayed in UTC.

This website serves static pages. Newly refreshed data appears when the website is rebuilt, so a data refresh does not necessarily mean the page has already changed. Use the displayed dates and the original source to assess freshness.

Independence and official information

Wander Tenerife is an independent travel app and information service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Cabildo de Tenerife, Tenerife ON, Parques Nacionales (OAPN), TITSA, or AEMET. Check the linked official sources for current conditions, permits, and timetables.

An open status is not a safety guarantee. Weather, access restrictions, and conditions on the ground can change. Always check the official source before setting out.
