How do I book the Mount Teide summit permit for Trail #10?

The free permit for Trail #10 (Telesforo Bravo) must be reserved on the official OAPN portal (reservasparquesnacionales.es). Daily quota is capped at 200 visitors across 2-hour slots. Slots open roughly 90 days in advance and sell out fast. If sold out, licensed guided tours with permits included are available.

Can I hike Barranco de Masca without a pre-booked ticket?

No. Entrance to the Masca gorge is strictly controlled and requires an official ticket from caminobarrancodemasca.com. Proper hiking boots with profile are legally compulsory. Parking in Masca village is banned; arrive by TITSA bus 355 from Santiago del Teide.

How many permits are issued for El Pijaral (Bosque Encantado) per day?

Only 45 permits per day are issued on Tenerife ON to protect the ancient laurel cloud forest. Permits open 15 days in advance at midnight Canary time. Entering without a permit is subject to environmental fines up to €600.

Does a Teide Cable Car ticket include the summit permit?

No. The Teleférico ticket takes you to La Rambleta at 3,555 m. Climbing the remaining 163 m to the peak requires a separate OAPN permit or a guided summit package.

Do I need a permit to hike up Montaña Blanca to La Rambleta?

Trail #7 from Montaña Blanca to La Rambleta does not require an OAPN permit, but mandatory safety registration on Tenerife ON is required. Check mountain weather conditions and winter warnings before ascending.
