Choose the right ticket product
While the trail itself from Montaña Blanca to La Rambleta does not require the OAPN summit permit, hikers must register their ascent on the Tenerife ON portal. Hikers attempting night ascents for sunrise must carry proper high-mountain thermal gear, headlamps, plenty of water, and suitable footwear. Mountain rangers and civil protection perform safety inspections, particularly in cold weather and winter conditions.
Before you book
Parking at the Montaña Blanca trailhead is extremely small (fewer than 12 official spots) and fills completely before dawn or even the prior evening. Do not park on the TF-21 road shoulders where towing is enforced. Consider parking at the Teide Cable Car base station and walking or arranging a morning drop-off transfer.
Confirm current rules and slot availability on the official reservation portal before visiting. Wander Tenerife provides booking information and links directly to official sources.
